Abstract |
This study fulfills the task of interpreting those provisions of
the State Criminal Code in Bosnia and Herzegovina which envisage
the crimes of Terrorism. Those provisions were significantly
updated in February 2010 to fully implement the respective United
Nations instruments dedicated to the fight against this serious
type of crime. Besides, the updated provisions constitute a
legislative implementation of the corresponding European Union
requirements to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the penal field and also
a reception of some European Union countries criminal laws which
proscribe the same criminal offences. In turn, this specific origin
of the State Criminal Code provisions which envisage the crimes of
Terrorism made it necessary to interpret the provisions in the way
the same legal texts are being interpreted in Europe.
