Dr. Zoya Mateeva is a climatologist with research interests
in the field of human bioclimatology, renewable energy sources, and
sustainable management of nature resources. She is working for the
National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at
Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She leads some institutional
research projects referring to the recreational climatology,
bioclimatic comfort&discomfort of man, construction of
wind-solar monitoring towers and assessment of wind- and
solar-energy potential, etc. Dr. Mateeva is a member of
International Society of Bioclimatology, International Geographycal
Union, Bulgarian Union of Scientists and Bulgarian Society of
Medical Geography.
